Tammy Lord
Over thirty years ago, I found myself in chronic pain after sustaining a substantial jaw and low back injury. I used traditional medicine for diagnosis and treatment, and when that failed I engaged in alternative modalities like massage, acupuncture, and chiropractic care, but I still could not find relief. Ten years later, I walked away from my career in search of answers. My healing journey involved structural bodywork, energy work, soul work, and ultimately, nervous system support. I eventually found that my history was impacting me in ways I would have never guessed.
Sessions may include Craniosacral Therapy, Transforming Touch®, Myofascial Release, Integrative Bodywork, and other energetic as well as pragmatic approaches.
As a somatic practitioner, I’m directed to your needs, whether they are structural, physiological, emotional, or otherwise. I’m here to walk along with you, helping you understand the process, ensuring you're not alone, and working to reclaim your life and your spirit. Through heart centered, trauma trained touch therapy I offer support, care, safety, relationship, and regulation to promote your health and healing. We women have complex systems undergoing transformation throughout our lifetimes that can impact us in many ways.
We will work together to access the “bodymap” inside you that stores information and can illuminate pathways to change. I use somatic or bodywork techniques that have proven to be effective in their delivery, bringing lasting and tangible results like reduction of pain and injury ,increased energy, better sleep, deeper presence, more emotional ease, and mental clarity. I specialize in modalities targeting the connective tissue or fascia, the brain and spine, the central and autonomic nervous system, and the muscular and skeletal systems.
When I’m not helping others I love to immerse myself in nature, spending time hiking, beach combing, kayaking, swimming, rockhounding, and just hugging trees, makes me smile. I love creating art with natural elements and I share my creations with a few select vendors in the US. I live life from the perspective that I’m a lifelong learner and that if I stay open, all my experiences are here to teach me something. I love sunshine on my face, the feel of dirt under my feet, sharing laughter with loved ones, reading books and poetry, growing and cooking good, wholesome food, being surprised and every moment I spend with my superdog, Hobie.

You start down the path to manage your pain using traditional methods and/or medication. The problem is when these methods fail, or you need additional support, there is nowhere to turn, which can leave you feeling frustrated and defeated.
I get it. I also "get" that pain should not be “managed” or “masked.” Pain should be healed. You need a partner you can trust, someone who knows and cares about your pain as much as you do. Someone who understands the biology of pain, knows alternative modalities and has first-hand wisdom of healing it.

“…touching into the inherent health that is always in the system, we come underneath it and support it, and revel in its brilliance. That is where the magic happens.”
